La Mere Champlain - Cancale

The corner room provided a lovely bay view, and the bed was both spacious and cozy. Dining at the restaurant was a highlight, featuring expertly prepared seafood with generous portions. Access to nearby oyster markets enhanced the experience, although the hotel could improve its breakfast offerings.

Brilliant location and great views from room. Good restaurant but very slow service due to being popular.

La Mere Champlain is located in the beautiful town of Cancale. The rooms are very nice and overlook the beautiful bay. The hotel is very clean and all of the facilities are up to date and well maintained.

The hotel is located above the restaurant and there is no front desk. You check in the restaurant on the first floor with the person running the restaurant. The building is located on the corner of the main street through Cancale. Activity on the street can be loud at night with traffic and drunken revellers!

The room was excellent with sea view over the port of Cancale and whole bay. It was very light and airy with balcony large enough to sit out on.Bed and fittings excellent. Staff very helpful and efficient.Wonderful fruits de mer and reasonably priced wines.

Such a charming place with an excellent seafood restaurant. We had a fantastic view from our balcony over the harbor. Watching the tides change was nice. The staff were warm and cute . Great experience overall 🍽️

We booked knowing the location was directly on the oyster bay in Cancale. We could watch the tide come in and go out from our tiny balcony. Location could not be better. Room overall quite comfortable above a restaurant of the same name.

The room may have been for handicapped guests. The shower was directly next to the toilet and drained right onto the floor. Not a problem for us and everything was modern and very clean but some may not like such an arrangement.

There are the restaurant in the hotel and that was very nice. And also the location pf the hotel is perfect.

Room size felt cramped, and the lack of effective sound insulation meant noise from the street kept me awake until early morning. The bathroom needed attention. Grout showed mold and paint was blistering on the door. Parking options were scarce, leading to a lengthy search just to find a space.

i was there for 1 night and ate at beachside restaurant with a view. the food was excellent and there were lots of dishes in the menu. the particularly good and fab location was a couple of blocks away from pointe du hock. the hotel took care of the welcoming service.

The seafood was delicious, but the room was quite small.

The beautiful view over the sea from bed & the gorgeous food from the neighbouring restaurants dotted along the seafront. We ate in 'vieux safran' which was delicious&good value, the staff were really lovely. The food in the hotel restaurant looked really good too...we just fancied a walk about.

I stayed here for 2 nights, the hotel was perfect, with incredible and absolutely perfect location just off the boulevard, museums and sea front great view.
